Understanding alerts

For stories you are interested in, you might want to be told (by email) when something important happens. On Care Opinion Canada, you do this by creating an alert.

What is an alert?

An alert is like an instruction to Care Opinion Canada. When you create the alert, you are telling us:

  1. for stories like this (the search)
  2. if any of these things happen (the triggers)
  3. let me know by email

You can have as many alerts as you like. You can create alerts for many different purposes, with different searches and triggers. You can pause alerts when you are away, or delete them if you don't need them any more.

Where are my alerts?

You'll find your alerts, along with other assets like reports, digests or searches, on your saved things page.

If you just have a few saved things, you'll see them easily - they have a bell icon.

If you have a lot of saved things, filter the list by the asset type to show only your alerts.
