When you submit a story to Care Opinion Canada, we prioritize your anonymity and safety. Today we are going to go through a few of those steps and give you some insights into how the Moderation Team manages your story from the time it is received to the time it is published.
Your story is submitted to us via the Tell Your Story link on the Care Opinion Website, or you can phone us Toll Free at 1-844-215-5511. Once your story is submitted to our website, the moderation process begins. Everything from the subject, to where the service was provided, will be reviewed.
We have a defined moderation process which enables us to protect the author’s confidentiality. We will never publish hate speech, foul/ inflammatory language or slanderous material.
The moderators never change the heart of your story. The moderation team may change spelling errors, grammar, or layout to improve readability, but they will never change the meaning of your story.
Do you know why we ask you when your story happened? We want to encourage clear, timely, public and constructive conversation about care. To ensure the conversation is worthwhile we will generally not publish postings relevant to events that happened over three years ago. The Care Opinion team reaches out to the service provider(s) to give them an opportunity to respond, and more recent interactions will allow them to make meaningful improvements.
