"Annual Checkup and Follow Up"

About: Glenbrook Medical Clinic B

(as the patient),

At the end of 2022 I went in for my annual checkup.  The lab work done prior to meeting the doctor showed a material increase in my PSA.  As with every checkup,  the doctor checked my prostate and found it normal size.  I was still concerned with the lab result and asked if I should be referred to the prostate cancer clinic.  The doctor felt one lab test at a specific moment in time may not be a good indication and suggested a follow up test in two months would give us a better indication of a problem.  The second test showed a lower PSA and I was satisfied that there was not an urgent issue that had to be dealt with.

I was pleased with the doctor's recommended action and I am satisfied with the current monitored "wait and see" approach.
